COR-TEN planters arrive with a "mill finish" and will naturally develop a rust patina in 6-12 months of weather exposure. You can expedite this process by spraying the planter with a 1:10 dilution of muriatic acid in water (WARNING! Muriatic acid is a toxic chemical. Please take proper precautions or hire a professional).
